## Core Features & Methodology

- **Standard Units Supported:** Feet (ft), Inches (in), Yards (yd), Meters (m), Centimeters (cm), Cubic Yards (cu yd / yd³), Cubic Feet (cu ft / ft³), Cubic Meters (m³), US Short Tons (2,000 lbs), Metric Tonnes (1,000 kg), Pounds (lbs), and 50-lb Retail Bags.
- **Volume Formula:**
  - Length (ft) × Width (ft) × Depth (ft) = Cubic Feet
  - Cubic Feet ÷ 27 = Base Cubic Yards
- **Weight Formula:**
  - Base Volume (yd³) × Bulk Density (tons/yd³) = Base Weight (US Short Tons)
- **Ordering Adjustment:**
  - Recommended Quantity = Base Quantity × (1 + Ordering Adjustment %)
  - Default adjustment is 10% (customizable 0% to 50%) to account for compaction settlement under rollers/tampers, subgrade soil intrusion, and excavation variances.
